We recently surveyed our Instagram followers about where they buy cleats and found most are buying online. But, if you hate buying and returning shoes, Nutmeg Sporting Goods has a full wall of cleats in stock in their Norwalk store. While you’re there, you’ll also find a good selection of baseball and softball pants (most kids where white FYI). This is also a the place to shop when you want to invest in a better bat or glove.
DICK’S Sporting Goods
While buying cleats here can be a bit of a nightmare due to stocking issues, this is a good go-to for a wide selection of baseball and softball pants. You should definitely find a pair that’ll fit your player. It’s also an easy grab-and-go for helmets, socks, belts, bats and gloves.
Darien Sport Shop
While Darien Sport Shop doesn’t have a wide selection, they are an easy in-town option for grabbing necessities, especially for all of the last minute shoppers out there (see photo above)! They have a small selection of bats and gloves, a rack of New Balance baseball pants in both white and grey, and if you ask, they do have a couple of styles of New Balance cleats available to try on and buy.
Located at the entrance of Bobby V’s Sports Academy in Stamford, this spot has a good selection of bats, gloves and helmets. If you’re there for a class or a birthday party anyway, it’s worth stopping in.
