Our summer camp guide is here! Sign your sporty kid up for one, or many, of the below camps for a summer break filled with active fun! You’ll find everything from Darien camps run by Blue Wave varsity coaches to more unique options that let your kid try something new for a week including rock climbing, kayaking, sailing, fencing, track and field and so much more!

You can also search our sports directory by age, grade, gender, sport and location for a more tailored list of summer camp options just for you! We have more than 100 summer sports camp options listed, and we’re always adding more!

Baseball Camps

If your son loves baseball our favorite camps include the Darien YMCA’s summer baseball camp running in the mornings at McGuane Park and led by DHS baseball coaches (1st-6th grade) and St. Luke’s baseball camp held outside at the New Canaan private school’s diamond led by their varsity coach for ages 6-12.

Basketball Camps

Darien kids love playing basketball with their classmates at Darien Summer School’s boys basketball camp (3rd-8th grade) and girls Hoop Heaven camp (4th-8th grade). Another popular choice — High Rise Basketball’s camps for boys (2nd-7th grade) held in both Stamford and Greenwich and girls (2nd-7th grade) in Stamford.

Field Hockey Camps

Take advantage of Darien Summer School’s field hockey camp coached by Darien’s varsity coach – one week only!

Football & Flag Football Camps

Locals love Overtime Athletics’ flag football camp (ages 5-13). Offered through Darien Parks & Rec, this camp runs in the mornings by the week at either Highland Farms or Cherry Lawn Park. Darien Summer School also offers football camps (1st-8th grade) at DHS Stadium including instruction from DHS coaches for both flag and tackle football.

Golf Camps

No country club? No problem! Your two closest golf camps include a weekly morning camp for all levels, ages 7-14 at Sterling Farms Golf Course in Stamford. More experienced golfers, ages 9-17 can head out onto the course at Oak Hills in Norwalk to learn the game in a weekly camp.

Gymnastics Camps

Chelsea Piers has several summer camp options for gymnasts from preschool on up. Both full day and half day programs are available as well as fun combo camps that include ice skating or swimming along with gymnastics.

Ice Hockey Camps

Young hockey players can get on the ice at Chelsea Piers with a preschool hockey camp, while older kids can fine tune their skills with a skill-building camp with Kurt Nichols Power Skating or a goalie camp at Chelsea Piers.

Lacrosse Camps

If you have a girl playing lacrosse, two top summer camps are the CT Grizzlies Summer Academy (2nd-7th grade) in Stamford and Triple Threat Lacrosse Academy (3rd-8th grade) at Greens Farms Academy in Westport. Be sure to sign up before they fill up! For boys lacrosse, look to Camp 2W (1st-8th grade) in Greenwich, CT City Lacrosse Camp (1st-8th grade) in Stamford and more!

Multi-Sport Camps

If your child loves all kinds of sports, try a camp that will have them playing a bunch including flag football, basketball, baseball, tennis, soccer and more. We love St Luke’s School’s Summer Sports Camp (ages 4-14) held outdoors in New Canaan, Sports Mecca’s Indoor Sports Camp (ages 5-13) in Norwalk, and the ease of Sports Plus Camp at Darien Summer School (1st-5th grade), which can be paired easily with another program at the high school to make for a longer day.

Ninja & Parkour Camps

We love that Darien Parks & Rec’s Outdoor Grit Ninja Camp (ages 5-11) takes advantage of summer weather to get your ninja outside. And for those looking for a full day option – look no further than Chelsea Piers’ Ninja + Parkour Camp (ages 5-13).

Soccer Camps

The go-to camp for soccer players is JA Elite’s Soccer Academy’s Summer Camp (1st-8th) at BVSA in Stamford – sign up before it sells out! Other options abound including soccer camps at Chelsea Piers, Darien Summer School and Darien Parks & Rec.

Tennis Camps

If you’re looking for an outdoor option, Darien Summer School is offering a new tennis camp (4th-8th grade) coached by the DHS boys varsity tennis coach. For air-conditioned indoor tennis, look to Kings Highway Tennis Club (K-8th grade) offering weekly camps in both mornings and afternoons.

Volleyball Camps

Your child can learn the game in the sand at Weed Beach with Skyhawks Beach Volleyball Camp or indoors at Chelsea Piers with a by-the-week evening camp. Both camps are for 5th-8th graders.

Unique Sport Camps

Let summer be a chance to try a new and different sport! We’ve been eyeing a few — Blue Wave Track & Field Fundamentals (2nd-8th grade) which includes running, hurdling, throwing and more; RCF Indoor Climbing Camp in Fairfield (ages 7-13); Fencing Camp held at Weed Beach Meadow (ages 7-13), which is extra appealing with the Summer Olympics on the horizon; Longshore Sailing School’s Kayaking Adventures (ages 8-11) in Westport takes advantage of the Long Island Sound; as does Summer Beginner Junior Sailing (8-12) with Norwalk Sailing School; and Brunswick School’s rowing camp, which includes daily sessions on the Mianus River and Cos Cob Harbor.
