Upcoming Travel and Club Baseball Tryouts

Darien Blue Hawks Travel Baseball

9U-12U: Tryouts will be held on Election Day, Tuesday, November 5th at either Bobby Valentine’s Sports Academy or McGuane depending on weather at the following times:

9U: 9-10:30am (birthdates 9/1/2015 to 8/31/2016)
10U: 10:30am-12pm (birthdates 9/1/2014 to 8/31/2015)
11U: 12-1:30pm (birthdates 9/1/2013 to 8/31/2014)
12U: 1:30-3pm (birthdates 9/1/2012 to 8/31/2013)

This tryout will be for the 2025 spring and fall seasons. Players who only want to play one of the seasons must still try out at this time. Travel players must also play in the house league in the spring (but not in the fall). Winter workouts begin in January with one or two days of hitting, one day of pitching and one day of fielding. In season, there will be multiple practices and games each week plus one to two tournaments.

13U and 14U: Tryouts will be on Monday, October 28 from 3:30-5:30pm at Holahan Field.

The season runs from January through late July. In January and March you can expect two indoor batting practice session and 1 indoor defension session each week. From March 15 to June 1st, players will have three practices per week and two to three games a week along with one or two tournaments. In the summer from June 1 to July 20, players have two to three practices and three to four games per week with one or two tournaments.

Clubhouse Baseball

Located in Fairfield, this club baseball team always has many Darien players. Evaluations for the spring and summer teams will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at The Clubhouse (2215 Black Rock Turnpike) at the following times:

8U-9U: 9am
10U: 10am
11U: 11am
12U: 12pm

Evaluations for 13U-14U will be held at Veteran’s Park (366 Sport Hill Rd., Easton) from 1:30pm to 3:30pm.
