“The Minor League is the second most competitive league. There is a running batting order, required substitutions and two innings of mandatory infield play. There are a minimum of 3 games or practices per week. A hard ball is used. A league champion is recognized after a postseason, round robin tournament.
Minors teams include 4th, 5th and 6th Grade. However, some players in 3rd Grade may also be called up to play in the Minors (based on his/her AAA evaluation).
Uniform & Equipment: DLL supplies team jersey and cap plus all equipment. Player wears uniform pants and cleats and brings his/her own baseball glove and helmet with face cage.”
Look for registration beginning in November. The season typically starts in mid to late April and runs through early June.
According to DLL, you can expect three to four events per week. Teams will practice on Friday evenings at 5:45pm and Sunday mornings, with games on Wednesday evenings at 5:45pm and Saturday mornings, usually at 9am or afternoon, usually at 1pm.
According to DLL this year: Pre-Season practices begin- Majors/Minors/AAA weather permitting- Early April
