“The Major Leagues is a competitive league for the players with the highest skill levels. There are a minimum of 3 practices and games per week. A hard ball is used. There are limited substitutions, but each player must be in the field a minimum of three full innings per game and at least one turn at bat. A league champion is recognized after a post season, intra-league playoff. There are also All Star selections for local, state and regional tournament play.
Age Requirement: 10, 11 or 12 years old by the upcoming August 31st. Players must tryout for this league. Players who will be 12 by August 31 of the respective season will automatically be on a Majors team (but still must try out).
Uniform & Equipment: DLL supplies team jersey with team name and cap plus all equipment. Player purchases pants and wears cleats. Brings his/her own baseball glove and helmet with face cage.”
Look for registration starting in November. The season typically starts in mid to late April and runs through early June.
You can expect three to four events per week. Teams will have a practice or game on Tuesday or Thursday evening at 5:45pm, practices on Sunday mornings at 10 or 11:30am and games on Saturday afternoons at 3:15 or 5:30pm.
New for 2025: Pre-Season practices begin- Majors/Minors/AAA weather permitting- Early April
Majors will begin playing games before Spring Break in early April to hit Districts required minimum play
**2025 Majors Tryout / Eval: Sunday January 26th (4th-7th Grades only)
