Darien Little League: A Baseball

“The “A” Ball League is an instructional league for girls and boys in first grade. Before every simulated game, children will work with their coaches on basic fundamentals, such as throwing, fielding and hitting the ball. Players will hit pitches thrown by the Coaches.

Uniform & Equipment: DLL supplies t-shirt and cap with team name plus all equipment. Player wears own pants (uniform, sweats, etc.) and cleats/sneakers and brings his/her own baseball glove and helmet.

At this level, first grade girls and boys have a choice between A baseball or A softball.” 

Look for registration beginning in November. The season typically starts in mid to late April and runs through early June.

According to DLL, there will be one combined practice/game per week on Saturday mornings, usually at 8:30 or 10am.
