Darien Little League: A League Softball

This instructional league for first graders focuses on fun and participation without scoring, while teaching and reinforcing the fundamentals of softball. Batters will hit a 11″ “softee” softball off a tee if necessary, but coaches will pitch to those ready.

“Our focal point is a league-wide practice on Saturday mornings where professional refine hitting, throwing & catching skills. Towards the end of the season, introduce simulated games. Season concludes with a final Saturday league-wide event.”

Look for registration in November, with softball starting in late April. Practices are 75-minutes and typically held at 930am on Saturday mornings at Town Hall.
