Darien Soccer Association: U11-U15 Club Excel Soccer

“Club Excel is the DSA development soccer program for our oldest players (U11 – U15).  No tryouts or previous soccer experience is required to participate in Club Excel. Club Excel is ideal for players choosing not to participate in our travel program or who have not been selected for a travel team. 

DSA Club Excel teams participate in the CJSA (Connecticut Junior Soccer Association) Southwest District  (CJSA South West) league that includes recreational soccer teams from towns throughout Fairfield County.  Therefore, weekly games for Club Excel will involve travel to other towns in the area (ie Stamford, Ridgefield, Westport, Newtown, etc).  Approximately four games a season will involve travel with another approximately four games being played in Darien.

Club excel rosters include a team of professional coaches who run all travel practices and games. Each team also has a parent coach who helps assist during games, and a parent manager who is the communication conduit for the team.

Players register for the fall and spring season separately.  Players may opt to play one or both seasons offered. 

• The fall season runs for approximately 8-weeks from early September to early November (excluding Labor Day weekend). 
• The spring season runs for approximately 8-weeks from early April through mid-June (excluding Memorial Day weekend). 

Club Excel teams have two scheduled practices a week, each for 75 minutes.  Detailed practice schedules will be available in August for the fall season and March for the spring season. 

Games are scheduled for Saturdays at varying times.”
