“The camp’s goal is to stimulate the love of the sport of lacrosse. The camp is dedicated to provide individual instruction to players of all ages and abilities. A low player-to-coach ratio and players-to-field ratio make for a great teaching and learning environment. Instruction will include the fundamental skills, tactics and techniques of lacrosse.
The members of the staff represent years of coaching and playing experience. The program will be run by Darien High School’s lacrosse team staff, former and current players. All aspects of the game will be covered including: (1) Passing & Shooting; (2) Catching Camp; Scooping; (3) Cradling Camp; Dodging; (4) Offensive Movement; (5) Defensive Position Camp; Techniques; and (6) Game Tactics and Strategies. Goalies will be provided extra instruction. Individualized instruction by a knowledgeable coaching staff that represents years of coaching and playing experience. Campers are certain to leave camp with a greater understanding and enjoyment of the game of lacrosse. Each camper receives a camp reversible and prizes will be awarded through our famous end of camp ceremony.
PLAYER MUST WEAR OWN EQUIPMENT. Required equipment includes: Helmet, Shoulder pads, Elbow pads, Gloves. Goalies will also need full goalie gear. Camp runs Monday through Thursday. Rain cancellations will be made up on Friday.”
