Greenwich Aquatics: Water Polo Travel Teams

“We have year round travel teams beginning at the end o August until July for both girls and boys in the 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U age-groups. We also have 10U travel teams in the spring & summer months. Tryouts are required and selection is competitive. Our travel team members are expected to be playing year-round and committed to attending all our practices. Coaches will focus on the development of higher-level water polo skills such as ball handling, eggbeater, shooting and passing.  Additionally, the emphasis will be on building strong legs, teamwork, and positioning.  Teams will participate in local games as well as participate in leagues.  The top players will participate in National tournaments across the USA as well as tournaments abroad.  Selections for these teams are competitive.”

Expect 4-6, 1.5-2 hour practices per week with a 75% minimum attendance required. 12U teams are 12 and under, 10U are 10 and under and so on with August 1st being the cutoff date.
