Ready for your child to learn how to golf? Here are the best local options for spring and summer golf clinics and camps outside of the country club scene.
Sterling Farms:
Located nearby in Stamford, Sterling Farms is one of the easiest and best options for golf lessons. However, scoring a spot for your child is not always easy, see below! For spring and fall, you’ll find after school and Saturday Junior Golf Clinics for kids ages 7-14 as well as Tuesday afternoon Pee Wee Clinics for ages 5 &6. This summer, 4-day golf camps are offered weekly from June 4 through August 30 for ages 7-14. Spring break camps are also being held from April 9-19.
Registration opens March 9 at 8am. YOU MUST REGISTER IN PERSON and pay by cash or check. If you want to ensure you get the clinic or camp you want, especially for 5 and 6 year olds, show up early (some will be there by 7am). Numbers will be passed out based upon when you show up. Expect many clinics to be sold out by the end of the day Saturday and more to be sold out by the end of the weekend.
Oak Hills:
If your golfer has played a round of nine holes before and is prepared to dress well and carry their own golf bag walking the course – Oak Hills Park Junior Golf Schools in Norwalk may be the camp you’re looking for. Designed for intermediate to advanced junior golfers (ages 9-17), these weekly camps teach the game on the course, which is just past the Darien town line.
Registration opens April 15.
Darien Parks & Rec:
