It’s time to start thinking about your kid’s spring sports schedule! Darien Little League’s registration is open for both house baseball and house softball.
Baseball
Registration is now open for spring 2025 house baseball through Darien Little League. To be eligible to play, players must be a Darien resident, in kindergarten to 7th grade during the 2024-2025 school year and born after August 31, 2012.
Baseball starts with tee ball for kindergarteners. Some leagues require an evaluation or tryout. See below for dates. If your child is interested in trying out for Majors, please register prior to the tryout/evaluation that is scheduled for January 26, 2025.

Important Dates:
- Majors Tryout / Eval: Sunday January 26th (4th-7th Grades only)
- Minors Evaluations- Tuesday, March 4th and Sunday, March 9th
- AAA Evaluations- Sunday, March 9th and Sunday, March 16th
- T-Ball thru Minors Team Roster Formation – Mid-March
- Pre-Season practices begin- Majors/Minors/AAA weather permitting- Early April
- Majors will begin playing games before Spring Break in early April to hit Districts required minimum play
- Spring Training (NEW) – Instructional Clinics – First two weeks of April (Lower Grades only)
- Darien Spring Break – 4/14/25 – 4/18/225
- Opening Weekend – 4/26/25 – 4/27/25 (Jamboree on 4/26 & Parade/Ceremony on 4/27)
Softball
Register now for spring 2025 house softball through Darien Little League. Early bird pricing is in effect until January 10, 2025, and registration is open until March 1st. However, those players registering for AAA, Minors and Majors should register before February 1st because evaluations are taking place on February 2nd. Also, it’s best to register sooner than later if you’re hoping to request your daughter to be placed on the same team as a buddy, as these requests are accommodated on a first come, first served basis. Tee ball, 1st grade and 2nd grade teams are primarily organized by elementary school, so chances are players will have buddies regardless.
Programs are offered for kindergarteners through 7th grade, starting with tee ball (for kids enrolled in kindergarten, those in pre-k or preschool can sign up for Little Sluggers). According to DLL, “AAA, Minors and Majors games on Saturdays will occasionally be ‘away’ in neighboring towns (i.e. New Canaan, Westport, Wilton, etc.). If your daughter plays travel softball, they are required to participate in the house program. Best efforts will be made for AAA, Minors and Majors to accommodate their travel practice schedule.”

- 3/27/2025: Softball Safety/Coaches Clinic at 7pm (please note, if you volunteer to coach you must be available to attend this meeting)

- 4/6/2025: Jamboree for all ages
- 4/26/2025: Tee/A/AA season begins
- 6/7/2025: Closing Day
