Have a boys lacrosse player who is a rising third grader or older? Check these dates before you solidify your summer plans and register for club tryouts or development clinics now. These summer tryouts are for the 2024/2025 season, which begins in the fall and continues with play next summer. Note: the National Lacrosse Federation has updated rules regarding age groups with a 15-month time (June 1 through August 31 of the following year) for grad years 2030 and younger, so double check that you are signing up correctly.
Express North: Tryouts for the 2024/2025 Express North Lacrosse are being held for years 2034 through 2026 (rising 3rd through 11th graders) Monday, July 15 at Darien High School and Thursday, July 18 at King School in Stamford. Times vary based on grad year. July 19 is reserved for a weather make-up day. Register by Sunday, July 14 at expresslacrosse.com. Need to brush up on skills before tryouts? Grab a spot in Express Lacrosse Mini Camp for grad years 2034-2028, which is being held the week before. Rising 3rd and 4th graders can also benefit from their clinic/house league being held on five Wednesdays in June and July.
2Way Lacrosse: Tryouts are being held at Brunswick Lower School in Greenwich for the fall 2024 through summer 2025 season on June 19, 28 and July 5, 8, 15 and 18. Register for a tryout and see specific dates and times for each year (2035-2026) at 2waylacrosse.com. Each group is assigned two tryout dates and the expectation is that boys will attend both. Want extra looks? Request that your child be evaluated at Camp 2W for grad years 2028-2035. Camp 2W is held the week of June 24-28 for grades 1-6 and the week of July 8-11 for grades 1-8 with an option for Goalie Training / 2W Stopper School.
Eclipse Lacrosse: Eclipse Lacrosse offers a 2033/2034 Intro Summer Program for rising 3rd and 4th graders, which aims to inspire a love for the sport and develop as many players as possible. The program will have a max of 120 total players split into 8 house teams that will compete in 7 v 7 house game events. Sign up for one or both weeks which run June 17-20 from 4:30-6:30pm and/or July 8-11 from 3-4:30pm in New Canaan. The weeks include clinics, games and contests for prizes every day.
Tryouts for the Eclipse Lacrosse 2024-2025 club year will be held for grad years 2034s through 2026s. So even if your rising 3rd or 4th grader is playing in the intro program this summer, they also need to tryout for the following club lacrosse season this summer. Tryouts will be at New Canaan’s Water Tower Turf Field July 15 and 16 for 2034s through 2030s, and July 17 and 18 for 2029s through 2026s. Sound Warriors Lacrosse Club: Tryouts for the Sound Warriors are being held at Greenwich Country Day School from July 17 through July 20 for 2034 through 2028 teams (dates and times vary by year).
