Have a boys lacrosse player who is a rising third grader or older? Check these dates before you solidify your summer plans and register for club tryouts or development clinics now. These summer tryouts are for the 2025/2026 season, which begins in the fall and continues with play next summer.
Eclipse Lacrosse: Tryouts for the Eclipse Lacrosse 2025-2026 club year will be held for grad years 2035s through 2027s, so rising 3rd graders and older. Tryouts will be held at New Canaan’s Water Tower Turf Field July 14 and 15 for 2035s through 2031s, and July 16 and 17 for 2030s through 2027s. Eclipse Lacrosse also offers a 2035/2036 Beginner Intro Program for rising 2nd and 3rd graders, which aims to inspire a love for the sport and develop as many players as possible. The program will have a max of 120 total players split into 8 house teams that will compete in 7 v 7 house game events. Sign up for one or both weeks which run June 23-26 from 3-4:30pm and/or July 7-10 from 3-4:30pm in New Canaan. The program includes clinics, games and contests for prizes every day. This can be a good pre-tryout camp for rising 3rd graders.
Express North: Tryouts for the 2025/2026 Express North Lacrosse are being held for years 2035 through 2027 (rising 3rd through 11th graders) Monday, July 14 at Darien High School and Thursday, July 17 at King School in Stamford. Express also offers a Wednesday evening summer lacrosse clinic/house league series for 2034 and 2035 grads (rising 3rd and 4th graders). These clinics will be held from June 4 through July 9 at Darien High School’s Oval Turf from 5-6:30pm. The program will focus on fundamentals including field sense, lacrosse IQ, and off-ball positioning, primarily through 3v3 and 6v6 game scenarios and scrimmages.
